JESUS IS THE REASON....

Jesus is the reason we celebrate the Christmas Season! That's a fact, some can call it whatever they want But the first part of Christmas is CHRIST. It was originally called Christ's Mass. Or Michael Mass. My spelling might be off here but, this Holy day goes way back before even America was settled by Europeans. This was first celebrated by none other then the Shepard's in a field tending their sheep. When the Angels appeared and told of his birth, and by three Kings who having seen his star followed it from their own countries to find the Son of God and to honor him with gifts. Sound familiar. But as time went on, other culture's put their spin on it and now we've lost sight of what Christmas is all about. Sure we should give gifts to each other but what of that first gift? The Gift God gave to all mankind! The gift of His Only Begotten Son. That he sent here to earth to live as we did, so he could prove that man in the flesh could over come and live a victorious life without sin.
Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas, because he was the first gift. He lived on this earth, he felt pain and sorrow just like we do. As a child he fell and skinned his knees and he went to Mary to be held and kissed. He learned from his earthly father Joseph to be a carpenter. He went to school and learned about God's word but he is the Living Word. Where we stumble and fall all the time, he overcame and went on to fulfil his destiny. To hang on that Cross for all of us. He shed his Precious Blood that we might accept that we are weak but through him can be made strong. Through him we can live a victorous life. we just have to open up and let him in.
