WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO RAISE A CHILD?

What does it take to raise a child? The best of God, Home, family and school. But what do you do when that fails? What do you do when God is not taught or is not even in the picture! And how do you get teachers to help when families are a thing of the past. How do you reach out and help someone when they don't want your help? I recently saw pictures of a home that was beyond filthy! There was not one inch of clear floor to be seen! Dried crusted food on counters, on dishes and no food in the cabinets!Animal feces on the floor and sleeping mattresses. No furniture except mattresses on the floor or cardboard for children to sleep on? Is this what has become of America? What has happened when a parent works a full day at work, does the work stop once you leave the place of employment? As a single mom years back, I know that once I was home I still had work to do once I got off that bus form work. For me the real work began with doing the dishes , laundry, sweeping mopping and mending, and spending just some quality time worth each of my five kids. In today's world there are to many single moms out there raising kids alone? Are all of them to tired to clean house? Who should have custody of a child of six when living conditions are this bad. Who's to blame. The mom who is tired and to passive to make the kids behave, the kids who tear up. Or the father who is not in the home? But who cares but is not given a choice here? Who should have custody? I am in a quandry here? All I can do is trust that God will protect the children? For they are the losers here all the way around!
