EASTER SUNDAY 2010
Easter Sunday was a beautiful Day. Besides all the sunshine, the service at church was unique. Imagine a coffee shop and two friends meet up and one a christian asks how his friend was going to spend Easter Sunday to which the friend replied probably sleep in, then the friend asked about going to church to which the friend replied that he didn't believe that Jesus rose form the dead that it was just a story. The friend related scriptures to friend, in between this the Pastor spoke and highlighted what was going on. I think it brought the message home in a way that many could easily understand. It was like I said an unusual service but very nice. After that it was home to finish the ham and load up for Mom's and the Easter dinner. Everyone liked the ham. And we were all filled to the brim. After eating it was outside to watch the kids hunt for eggs and in general have a ton of fun. After all with kids had left and the older adults could settle down and relax I got a call from Hannah. California was hit with a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. While all were rattled a bit all was safe. The kids were a bit shook up but OK. My son Rich and Thomas were outside when it hit and he said the cars looked like boats bobbing on water but in fact they were on land. He, "the bugger" thought it was neat. After listening to the news and knowing that my kids were in God's hands we ended the evening with Mom and Ray playing cards at which Mom and Glen soundly beat Ray and myself. Happy Easter and Thank you Lord for protecting my family this Easter Day 2010
