It's been a very cold day here but that goes with the snow that has been falling since 9:00 A.M. Friday. As of 2:00 Saturday we have had 11" or more of snow fall. Glen had to climb up on the roof of not just his mom's house but onto our deck roof the clear off the snow that had fallen. (Both roofs are fairly flat.) The weight was causing the structure to at our place to bow. At his mom's you could hear the weight of the snow causing the roof/ceiling to groan under the weight. So at 11:30P.M. Friday night Glen climbed on the roof and cleared off the snow.
Today when you look out all you see is white. The trees look like they are covered in white cotton balls. But driving is bad, very bad, while the main streets are clear the secondary streets are still covered in snow that after having been driven on becomes a sheet of ice. We spent part of the day helping to dig people out. Snow is beautiful but dangerous. It's heavy wet and cold, and so beautifully white and fluffy looking. Until the next storm.
