MY GRANDBABIES

I just got back from spending ten wonderful days with my families in CA and AZ. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed even the storms that hit.
On The 28th I arrived at San Diego International Airport and was met at the curb by my beautiful daughter Hannah and my beautiful daughter-in-law Danielle and 4 of my Grand babies. First there was the youngest baby Merle, so cute and so huggable, next to him was a very sleepy Ellie and in the far back was Emma and Ali.
Merle is as cute as a button, and at 1 month of age he is a typical baby that sleeps alot.
Then precious Ellie who in the rush to get out the door to go get Gramma fell down the stairs and got a nasty bump on her head. She was very cranky most of the day but we know what was causing that. She had that bump. She was fine the next day. Ellie is as cute as a pixie, she reminds me of Hannah my youngest with her unruly blonde hair that is loaded with curls. She has a smile that goes on for a mile and she loves her daddy. She goes to him each night and curls up in his arms and he sings her to sleep. (Wonderful to see and hear)
Then there's her older sister Emma who didn't quite know what to make of this Gramma, but by the time I was ready to go to AZ she was like her sister sitting with me and talking up a storm, Emma is the streaker, she loves to wear certain clothes and she will quickly change out of what mommy put her in and put on her bathing suit or any dress up clothes Cousin Ali leaves behind. She loves her Binky and she has a stash of them, Mom and Dad have tried to get her off them but she always finds one somewhere or steals baby brothers. She is bright, beautiful and full of energy.
I was forever confusing the two girls I called Emma, Ellie and Ellie, Emma the poor girls might be confused by now themselves. lol :)
Next in age comes Drisana, she is such a smart little girl and the apple of her daddy's eye. She has long dark hair and she is quite the little dancer. She always ends in a perfect pose. I only got to see her a few times because she was leaving to visit her maternal Grandparents in the Philippines and would be gone three weeks. She like her father loves to draw and she is quite good at it at 3 1/2 (She's 6 months behind Ali) she drew Me a mouse and you knew it was a mouse. Her daddy told me that every night when they are driving home after dropping mommy off at work that she tells him, no daddy go that way I want to play with Ali and Emma. Of course dad can't always do what She wants and she does give him "attitude", but shes' soon over that and back to her sweet self soon.
Last but not least is Ali the oldest of this set of Grands in CA, at age 4 she is now in preschool. She loves her frilly dresses and she loves to dress herself. She informs all who will hear that she has a boyfriend named Johnny. He is in her class at school and they play together everyday. She has asthma and she has to use an inhaler everyday. But hses a champ and does what Mom asks with out a fight as she know she'll only feel better in the end. Like her mom she loves to belly dance but doesn't have the ability to do the moves but she tries. She is always getting the younger Cousins into mischief. But her winning smile and sweet attitude (not always sweet) make it hard to stay mad at this little sprite. We did all kinds of things while in SD. We wanted to go to the Zoo but it rained on Thursday and so instead of the Zoo on Friday because it was to cold for the baby so we went to the New Corvette Diner at old Navel Training Center. The Training Center was closed and given back to the City of SD and is being converted to shops and parks for all to enjoy. At the diner we ate a good lunch and they had the "Corvette Dancers" there, Ellie could not take her eyes off them, later Emma got up on the stage and Danced and the girls said they had a future dancer. On Saturday early in the morning Jen and her crew got in. It was 1:00 A.M. Let me tell you it was hard not to try and hold two babies at once, but with a arm hurting I didn't take a chance. It was one baby at a time. Jocelyn is so beautiful and getting so big already, She is sweet and cuddly. She smiles and coos and Just plain is loveable. Then Jalisa her teenaged Sister. She is tall and slender and I think of her as my Egyptian Princess for that is what I think of when I see her. Then there is Chris my oldest Grandson, He is handsome, and very athletic. He had a football game in Yuma before coming to SD and his team won 49 to 0. His team is at 5-1. On our way to AZ we encountered dust devils, rain and a Sand Storm. Let me tell you driver at 85 then being hit by this wall of sand you go from 85 to 20 real quick, Jen had to watch the white stripes at the center of the road to keep from going off it, but it only lasted a few miles and it was back to 85 unntil just outside of Phoenix when it poured down. The Next day we had hail and micro bursts and Flagstaff even had 4 tornados. We go there I got to see my new grand daughter Ashanti hwho is so cute, she has curly blonde hair and is so sweet. She waited behind Aniyah as she gave Gramma a very big hug and then she was in my arms and there in no greater love then that of a child (except Jesus' love). She is just precious. Then Aniyah, she has grown. She is as tall as I am. She is into Cheerleading and both she and Ashanti go to the girls club each night. Next entry will be about the adults. I had a wonderful time and I miss all of them so much already. It's hard to believe I'm back home. Until next time.
