I AM SPECIAL

Years ago when my oldest Thomas son was in elementary school one of his teachers sent home a plaque with his picture and a hand print on it. On this there was a poem.

I am Special,
I am me,
There's no one else I'd rather be.

A simple poem but to me it was incomplete. It needed more. So I played with it and added to it. And years later I used this in a project in our children's church with pictures of the children with their pictures on it. And since that time I have added more.
The poem went like this:

I am Special,
I am Me.
There's no one else I'd rather be.
A gift from God sent down to earth.
I am a gift of great worth.
So cherish me when I am small,
And Teach to me God golden rules.
So when I'm big I can call on him.
And know that I am complete with him.

And we are complete with God. Because he made us each special and unique.

So remember we are all special in his eyes.
